fort worth skylineGil has been a judge for numerous mock trial competitions through young lawyers’ organizations and for Teen Court. Gil also served as president of his homeowner’s association for two years, whom he has successfully represented before the Benbrook and Fort Worth City Councils.

Gil has volunteered to coach youth soccer teams at the Y, volunteered for the Y’s Camp Carter in Fort Worth and served on its management board, and has taught high school students who participate in mock trial and moot court tournaments through the Y’s Youth and Government Program.

Gil has also volunteered for National Adoption Day, accepted the Tarrant Bar Association’s Pro Bono Challenge, and has represented clients pro bono through the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program.

Gil has also served on the Board of Directors of the North Texas Council for International Visitors, whose mission is to provide quality service and programs to international visitors in the communities of North Texas. Gil has also been a local host for international lawyers from around the world who have attended the Academy of American and International Law. As a part of the Academy, Gil has taught, by way of lectures and mock trial presentations, facets of American courtroom procedure to the international lawyers.
